A newborn baby, a naughty child, a mermaid, a wise and old woman. Anything can happen.  IKI is an improvising circle of young women bound together by a love for intuitive music making. IKI has an unusual format; nine individual singers wanting to come across as a band, not as a choir. Musically IKI is taking influence from many styles like modern jazz, classical music, pop, folk music and avant-garde, and the music is created on the spot. In their concerts you can experience completely improvised, in the moment music. IKI´s members are strong personalities from four different countries, bringing specific qualities and culture from Iceland, Finland, Norway and Denmark. The IKI soundscapes reflects the deep, Nordic roots, and gives the audience an extraordinary experience with music.
